The LI Assistive Technology (AT) Grant is designed to expand access to learning for students with Low Incidence Disabilities (ages 3–22) across all educational settings. Grounded in the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), this grant provides assistive technology tools that support students with complex learning needs.
Through the grant, the Assistive Technology Center (ATC) has identified light-tech and mid-tech AT tools that support:
Under the LI Classroom Equipment Grant, tools are available to any classroom where two or more students with Low Incidence Disabilities receive their educational instruction.
This grant provides educators with essential AT resources that help remove barriers to learning.
The Low Incidence (LI) Preschool Inclusion Grant provides funding to support students with an LI disability in general education preschool programs (public or private). This grant can help cover the cost of adult support when recommended by the student’s IEP team to ensure a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).

This funding helps ensure that students with a low-incidence disability can participate fully in inclusive preschool
